Appointment, Duration and Payment
It is not good time to come for acupuncture if the patient has below conditions:
extremely weak
newly suffering flu or covin-19, or other severe breath infectious diseases
easy to bleed for a long time after injection/injury/brush teeth
or is very prone to infections.
Please contact us to discuss or to reschedule before you come. In life threatening conditions you should go emergency room in a hospital or call 911.
If you have X-ray films or report, or MRI report that related your major complains you may bring them with you. For cancer patients, please bring your doctor's letter (suggest or prescribe or mention for acupuncture treatment) and blood test reports(see details below).
If your conditions are severe or walk unstable or have conditions that affect driving, you will need a companion come with you. If patient is under 18 years old, a relatives or authorized adult of the patient should come together.
Usually the first visit is the longest in order to allow for a complete history taking and exam - typically 40- 50 minutes. Fee for the initial acupuncture treatment: $93. You may check the page of "services" for more information.

Before and after receiving an acupuncture treatment
To avoid light-headaches or dizziness during or after treatment session, please do not arrive to your appointment with hungry, or right after a large meal. You could keep your routine diet. Try to eat something little bit before you leaving from your office or home if your initial appointment is in late afternoon (such as 5 pm or 6 pm). Also try to avoid excessively fatigued or emotionally upset or shortly after sex, before your treatment.
For better reading of your tongue, please do not brush your tongue on the day of your appointment, not eat or drink anything that may change the color of your tongue within 3 hours prior to your appointment.
It is recommended to wear loose and comfortable clothes. For some patients (for example, pain in certain area), better to wear appropriate clothes to make the upper back or middle back or shoulder or leg area easy to access. Or you may bring shorter or loose clothes to change.
Plan your activities so that after the treatment you can get some rest, or at least not have to be working at top performance. This is especially important for the first few visits for some patients.
